Great physics mechanics, interactive puzzles
Artwork isn't very inspiring, music is ok
Qaibo Games is back at it again with another physics-based puzzle game that will have you scratching your head in no time. Amigo Pancho 2: Puzzle Journey for Android is the direct sequel to the original Amigo Pancho, and this one is packed full of more puzzles than ever before.
The premise of the game is pretty simple. You’ll start off each level with a man trying to float to the top of the level by holding onto some balloons. Where is he going? Who knows, that’s not your concern. Instead, you should be worried about all of the obstacles trying to block your way. Your job is to dispatch these obstacles in very specific orders. What kind of obstacles, you ask? Razors, spikes, thorns… basically the whole nine yards.
What I really love about this game is the dynamics of the mechanics. Everything works together. You’ll be presented with a path that seems impossible, until you construct a simple machine that, once set off, will knock out anything in your path and clear your way. It’s a game that constantly throws new curveballs at you and challenges your approach to the game’s logic. The second game allows you to play together with friends and family, and there are new puzzles being added to the game each month.
There isn’t much to not love about Amigo Pancho 2: Puzzle Journey. Maybe the art and the music are a bit hit or miss, but the physics mechanics and mind-bending puzzles should give you something to preoccupy yourself with.
