Review Angry Birds Match

Polished animations, collect 50 hatchlings
Doesn't innovate, ip doesn't add any value to the game
Guess who’s back? No, not Slim Shady - PIGS! And adorable Angry Bird hatchlings. That’s right, the pigs are at it again. This time they’re trying to ruin the hatchlings’ party and they need help from the big birds: Red, Chuck and Bomb. In Angry Birds Match for Android, your job is to match three or more colors to complete various objectives throughout the game.
I won’t beat around the bush, if you’ve played literally any other match three game then you’ll know exactly what to expect in this game. It doesn’t try to beat around the bush by introducing new ideas into the genre. Instead, the game tries to bank off its IP to create a fun experience. The question is, is it fun? Well, that depends on whether or not you like match three games or not.
In this game, you’ll collect various hatchlings that you can dress up by paying coins to unlock new outfits. It doesn’t really add much to the game, but it is a little something to differentiate it from the crowd. You’ll have the normal objectives, like breaking ice blocks, but the game also switches things up here a bit by adding boxes and mud - each of which does the exact same thing ice does.
Angry Birds Match is a good, polished match three game. The problem I have with it is its lack of novelty. There is nothing new it brings to the table and the Angry Birds IP doesn’t add any actual value to the game. However, if you’re a fan of the franchise, this might be a fun game to try out.
