When the first Diner Dash came out, the idea was seemingly so revolutionary that it took flash games on the internet by storm. Well, hopefully, you really like Diner Dash because Gordon Ramsay Dash is Diner Dash, but with Gordon Ramsay telling you what to do literally the whole time.
As far as a Dash game goes, this one is pretty par for the course. By that I mean you’ll be cooking things in specific orders, serving customers, collecting money and upgrading your kitchen to become more efficient. As you play through the game, more of your kitchen will become unlocked and orders become more complicated. This game throws a slight curve ball in that you’re playing a cook that’s being instructed by Gordon Ramsay as they cook their way to fame, and they do so in their own reality TV show.
I played all the way through season 1 and the game was still pausing every other episode. As someone who gets incredibly annoyed by tutorials, this game, well, annoying. I really wanted to be left to my own devices so I could cook and fail all on my own. To complicate things further, you’re constantly on the verge of running out of energy to cook, which means you have to stop and wait for your energy to recharge to play the game again. Talk about being annoying.
Gordon Ramsay Dash for Android is a pretty run-of-the-mill Diner Dash clone, but more annoying. The Gordon Ramsay voice overs are boring and uninspired, the constant tutorial pop-ups are annoying and the game gets in your way more than it needs to.
