Review Rodeo Stampede: Sky Zoo Safari
Wrangle up a zoo

Replayable, merges tons of gameplay mechanics, really fun runner
Heavily based on randomness
Rodeo Stampede: Sky Zoo Safari for Android has a lot going on with it. I mean a lot. When I first jumped in I thought I was playing an endless runner, but then I realized I was trying to wrangle animals so that I could ride on them. Then I realized I actually had a floating safari and I was trying to capture these poor animals so I could throw them in my flying fortress of a zoo.
This is a fun game, though. Every element of it is pretty dang fun, actually. Let’s start off with the running. You’ll start off each run with an animal that you can select while you’re in your zoo. Each animal can do different things, but I enjoyed the elephant because it could smash anything in my way. When you press and hold the screen, you’ll essentially have full control over your animal, but it will eventually begin to buck uncontrollably if you ride it for too long, so you’ll constantly be on the lookout for more animals to wrangle. When you find one, let go of the screen and you’ll fly through the air, highlighting the area you’ll land so you know which animal you can wrangle, starting the whole process over again.
Building your zoo up maybe isn’t quite as fun as wrangling the animals, but you’ll also spend the least amount of time messing with it. All you can really do it upgrade your zoo habitats, which helps you earn more money. If anything, this part of the game is almost nothing more than an interactive way to visualize the animals you’ve collected, though it’s been “gamified” by introducing money.
Rodeo Stampede: Sky Zoo Safari is a fun arcade game with quite a bit more depth to it than your average mobile game. That makes for great replayability and good fun.
