Review Real Basketball
Shoot a solo game of hoops or play against live opponets
Author: Jay Feldman
Date: 20 Jun 2017, tested on ASUS Nexus 7 (2013)
Quality 3D graphics, one-finger controls, quality physics
Lags a bit, monotonous game play, not interesting to play without paying money
Real Basketball for Android is a high quality game of hoops against computer simulated opponents, live online players, or just play solo and see how many shots you can make.
Real Basketball is a nicely put together basketball game of hoops. You’re a tall athletic type playing on an urban court. Just swipe your finger toward the basket to toss the ball and hopefully sink it. If you play against the computer, there’s an opponent who jumps to block your shots. Or, try your luck against online players and see who can sink the most shots in a speed round. The play is fun and addictive with excellent physics.
The controls are just one finger swipes; swipe left or right to fake out the blocker, then swipe upward to shoot for the net. The controls have good subtlety, so you can really make some accurate shots. There’s also a power meter on the left of the screen, so you have to use some finesse with your swipes to get the ball to go for the net just right.
The graphics are excellent with really good 3D style renderings. The game does hang a bit when playing against online opponents. And all the gear upgrades are cool but will cost you. I like the different locales, uniform options and all the different balls you can try...for a price.
Real Basketball is fun and the graphics keep things exciting for a while. If you love basketball, or even strategy games of skill, you’ll love this game.
