Quality soundtrack, neat animation, unusual graphics, interesting levels, dynamic game play
Kills your battery, very common
Manuganu for Android is sort of like Super Mario but with a tribal twist and simpler controls. It's fun and original, and shouldn't drain anyone's wallet.
Manuganu plays like a classic arcade game. You are a little tribal warrior kinda looking guy, and you live in a majestic looking land populated with enormous bouncy mushrooms, flowing waterfalls and grassy knolls. The game is essentially a side scroller, but the environment can move in all directions, depending on the path you chose and the obstacles presented. It’s fun jumping and bouncing everywhere and the action is fast and dynamic.
The controls are very easy and new options are added as the game progresses. It starts out with just a simple jump button. As the obstacles get more complex, a stop button is added so you can plan your steps. Play a few more levels, and a duck button is added. It’s all presented quite nicely and your abilities grow as your skills improve. I like that the play has alternate paths to follow, and it's up to you to decide which way to go.
The graphics are entertaining and colorful. I love the indigenous tribal feel of it all. The sounds are also appropriate and complete the world this app creates. The levels are interesting and offer distinct challenges. And I think the game will remain interesting as you move through all the levels.
Manuganu offers a quality gaming experience and isn't overly greedy. The visuals are interesting and the play is familiar, yet unique. This one is worth a look and should keep gamers of all ages satisfied and engaged.
