A minimalistic runner

Trippy aesthetics, good music, solid controls, unique premise
Environments get old fast
No Thing for Android is easily one of the most confusing games that I think I’ve ever played. At first, I thought it was a game meant to constantly mess with you, it’s actually just a runner with a storyline - and a very odd storyline at that.
The year is 1994 but the game says it’s the future. You play a lowly office clerk who is sent to deliver a very important message to the Queen of Ice. It’s a minimalistic surreal, action game that is full of weird glitches, backwards controls, awesome chiptune music and tons of other things.
The game is fairly difficult, but all you’re really doing is walking across a path that is highly elevated. That means if you step off the platform then you die and you have to start over again. You can play in both portrait and landscape mode, which is an added bonus.
To be honest, I didn’t really understand what was going on in the story, which is fine. Maybe that’ll appeal to some people, but I didn’t really care that much. I think the experience is what truly makes this game. The odd visuals will stick out like a sore thumb and the odd glitches and post effects will definitely try to trip you up as you play through the game.
Are you someone who really enjoys runners? You’ll probably love this. Are you someone who is really into trippy stuff? You’ll probably love this. It’s definitely one of the most unique games out there right now and well worth the price.
