Review Cartoon Wars 3
More of the same Cartoon Wars gameplay

Same addictive gameplay, more unit variety
Low resolution graphics, extremely poor performance, not innovative
The Cartoon Wars franchise seems to be as old as dirt. And despite its age, Cartoon Wars 3 for Android does very little to really improve on the formula that the developers have been cruising with for years. It’s still as crazy and addictive as its always been, but performance issues and low resolution graphics really weigh down what the game could have achieved.
At this point, there really doesn’t even need to be a story that corresponds with this game. The general gist, as it’s always been, is to play out a pseudo-styled tower defense game. But one where you’re sending wave after wave of troops to try and turn the tide of battle.
Troops cost resources depending on how powerful they are, and you can upgrade the rate at which you accrue that resource by upgrading it during the match. It’s a strategic trade-off. Do you sacrifice lots of resources to gain them faster or do you need those resources to build more troops?
The troop design in this game is more varied than in the past and you get to see a lot of cool designs come out. But, even on a Galaxy s7 Edge, I found the game to be borderline unplayable. It was a total lagfest and not fun in the least bit.
Ideally, I would really like to see this concept expanding. Or, at the very least, refine the drawings a bit and make sure the game plays correctly. As it stands, I wouldn’t recommend downloading it.
