Review Futurama: Game of Drones
It's a Futurama matching game!

Hilarious writing, unique look, based on futurama
Not enough innovation
Once upon a time ago, I was a pretty big Futurama fan, and if I was still a big futurama fan then I would have loved to have played Futurama: Game of Drones for Android. It’s a match-four game that is based on a honeycomb board rather than your typical grid and really forces you to think about what your next moves are going to be.
If you’re tired of playing through the same old match three games but still like the concept then I this is a game you’d probably enjoy. There is a loose storyline involved with the game that really captures the same Futurama you see on TV, though the delivery isn’t quite as good considering it’s text only.
The gameplay is based on a sort of hex grid and you’re not matching three pieces, you need to match at least four. Unfortunately, you’re still stuck with trying to match a set amount of tiles like you typically do in most other match three games. Ideally, I would have liked to have seen something a bit more inventive because everything else is really great in the game.
Which brings me to the look. This isn’t one of those games where everything is based on fruit, baked goods or colorful gems. I mean, yeah, there are colored drones but everything looks very much like Futurama. So you’ve got dark colors, circuitry and science.
Futurama: Game of Drones is a funny match four game. It’s not innovative and it’s not going to change your world, but as it stands, it’s a really, really good matching game.
