One of the most beautiful arcade games

Top notch animation, unique gameplay, fun controls
Gameplay does wear thin soon, not enough environments
Dofus Pogo for Android is easily one of the most beautifully animated apps that I’ve ever seen. That alone scores pretty big points in my mind, but the game is also really fun, unique and intense.
So, apparently, DOFUS is actually a movie that I had no idea about, and it seems to borrow some of the assets straight from the movie. That’s totally okay with me because the cut scenes are absolutely beautiful. The story is that the Dofus are being attacked by hordes of monsters and the Ebony Dofus has been stolen. You need to fend off the monsters and get the ebony Dofus back.
You get to play with four Dofus to fend off the attackers, and you’ll use each Dofus like a slingshot. The monsters are headed towards the ground, so you’ll need to shoot your Dofus up and knock them out of the sky. As you play, you’ll go through wave after wave of enemies, eventually facing off new enemies, forcing you to adapt your play style to deal with the new threats.
The game is wave based, but you’ll start over from scratch every time you start a new game. In each game, you’ll earn currency that can be used for a number of different things. I usually spent all of my money on upgrades so that I could progress further in the game.
Dofus Pogo is an absolute stunner and is super fun to play. Fans of the movie will definitely enjoy this game, but even better, people who have no idea what the movie is might enjoy it even more because it’s just such a cool game.
