Review Power Hover
A great game that reminds me we still don't have hoverboards

Great and simple aesthetic, solid controls, no ads
Levels could use more variation
I’m not sure if it’s just pure coincidence or not, but I feel like there has been a collective push in the quality of Arcade games that I’ve seen recently in the Play Store. Power Hoover for Android is one of those arcade games that’s actually broken into bite-sized levels that are really fun to play through.
So, believe it or not, but this game actually has a story attached to it, and it’s really sort of sad. Aside from having ridiculously cool hoverboards, someone or something has flipped a switch and stolen all of the power from your people. It’s a terrible disaster, but fortunately they left a track behind them for you to follow, so you do.
You’ll follow a path of light and batteries, and you’ll do so on your hoverboard. Steering is really simple: tapping left or right will cause you to steer in the direction you want to go. You’ll automatically jump when you leave a ramp and will automatically grind when you come up to a rail. You need to collect enough batters in the level to move on to the next, but you’ll need to be careful because each level presents dynamic obstacles that will completely ruin your day.
Power Hoover is a lot of good fun that’s presented in a really cool package. There aren’t many ads, the gameplay is fun and fluid, and I never really found myself getting frustrated as the game began to evolve. Arcade lovers are definitely going to want to throw this game on their phone.
