A stupid game filled with stupid zombies

Ricocheting bullets are fun to watch, fun theme
Way too many ads, boring level design, static environments
Ads. I wish that was the only thing I could say about Stupid Zombies 2 for Android. It’s a game full of tons of weapons, crazy zombie-filled puzzles, and the gameplay is somewhat fun. The problem is that the ads are sort of out of control.
Listen, if the first thing I see when I open your ad is a 15 second video ad and then a full splash ad immediately after, then we’re already off on a bad foot. If the first ad, outside of the permanent banner ad at the bottom of every screen, is an unskippable 30-second ad, then we’re really off to a bad start. I shouldn’t be able to close out of the app and restart where I left off faster than the ad that’s showing.
Gameplay wise, the game is actually decent. Think something like Angry Birds but with zombies. You’ve got a shotgun with ricocheting bullets, and you need to find a way to shoot your gun so that three bullets can call every zombie in the room. Obviously, some levels are much easier than others. Some levels I felt like I beat based on pure dumb luck. I think the problem with some of the levels is the lack of consistency when it comes to level design.
Stupid Zombies 2 is a decent game that’s absolutely brought to its knees by way too many ads. I personally have better ways to spend my time that playing an ad generator, and there are plenty of mobile games out there that respect my time better and are more fun.
