A fun but easy puzzle game.

Puzzle mechanics, hidden objects mechanics, 100 levels, interesting puzzle design
Lengthy tutorial, gives away too many clues
There are times when you just want to sit down with a good puzzle game just like you might want to sit down to read a newspaper or finish a crossword puzzle. Well, maybe not so much a crossword puzzle, but 100 Door Challenge for Android reminds me of old school puzzle games from way back when.
Like you might expect, this is a game where you’re gotta get through a hundred doors. What happens when you do? Well, that’s something you’ll have to find out for yourself. Until then, you’ll be presented with a hundred levels of puzzles. The puzzles consist of unlocking the doors and the developers have really thought outside of the box to figure out a way to keep the puzzles interesting throughout.
The first eight or so levels are tutorial levels and I’m a bit bumped that the developers put them in there because they sort of explain a lot of the logic away. There were several puzzles afterward that I solved with complete ease because the game already gave me a way to think about the game. I wasn’t able to discover that for myself and I feel like the game robs me of that discovery. A tutorial should give you an idea of how mechanics work, but they shouldn’t solve the puzzles for you.
100 Door Challenge is a fun and short puzzle game that isn’t terribly frustrating. I was able to solve most puzzles with ease. I’m not crazy about the graphics, though, and the sound is a bit low quality too. Still, I think this is a different sort of puzzle game that is worth checking out.
