A hockey game made for mobile devices

Interesting graphics, gameplay is tailored for mobile, lots of modes
Gameplay is slow at times
As a spectator sport, I always found ice hockey to be among the most entertaining. Other sports penalize players for being overly aggressive, but ice hockey almost encourages it. Pin Hockey for Android is a unique mobile hockey game that actually throws you in a first-person perspective for the game, but relaxes the excitement and turns the experience into a more strategic style of play.
The word “pin” in the title is literal because each player is a pin in the ice. You’re technically not a player at all. Your opponent and you will take turns smacking the puck around, each team’s player being an obstacle on the ice, in an attempt to be the team with the most amount of points once the timer finally reaches zero.
Initially, I didn’t find the gameplay all that appealing. Scoring goals seemed cumbersome. But the more time I put into the game, the more I began learning the little nuances of the gameplay and the more I began to actually enjoy it. Once you add in the game’s myriad of unlocks and gameplay modes, you begin to see a game that has a lot more to do than you might initially think.
Pin Hockey uses some really unique visuals with fun gameplay to create an experience that is honestly pretty new on, well, just about any platform I’ve ever played. While it’s definitely not the full contact sport a lot of us really like it to be, it’s strategic enough to keep even non-hockey fans interested long term.
