Review BattleTime
One of the best RTS games out there
Author: Brandon Girod

Highly addictive gameplay, well thought out controls, very limited ads
Difficult gates are high at points
BattleTime for Android is easily the most fun that I’ve had with a game like this in a really long time, but it’s not the first game like it I’ve played, just the first on mobile. This is a real-time strategy game where you are in a constant tug-o-war battle against multiple enemies.
This isn’t a real-time strategy in the traditional sense. You won’t be building up a base, though territory elements to exist, and you won’t be building up units yourself. Instead, you act like a glorified commander. You’ll decide where your troops need to be within territories, where they should defend, and where they should attack.
Troops are stationed at each territory. You’ll usually start off with a few territories of your own, but you’ll soon expand your control across neutral territories by sending units to attack them. Once they’re under your control, they’ll begin to churn out more troops, thus adding to the ranks of your army. Different territories can do different things. Forts don’t build units but they do act as a choke point that significantly boosts the defense of any occupying troops. There are other types of buildings, too.
I did find the difficulty of this game to bounce around a bit. You really have to understand that you’re going to constantly being reinforcing your territories and attacking all the time. Non-stop. It got to the point that I usually never had a territory with double digit troops in them because they were out defending territories under siege or attacking.
I had an absolute blast with BattleTime and highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in strategy games. This one is a must play.
