Decent 3D graphics, simple controls, decent animation, quality 3d graphics, simple controls
In-app purchases, could have been more balanced
Rivals at War is a quality unusual military action simulator game for Android that features good 3D graphics and simple controls. Apart from it, it is built on a card unit system, which is a pretty strange choice for this genre.
The game lets you gather a team of various soldiers, upgrade them, and watch interesting battles between two teams. However, you will not be able to control your troops during the battle as everything happens automatically. Just pick out the right team and enjoy watching how you defeat your enemy.
In this game you will need to use card packs that you will randomly pick out from the deck. Once you have chosen a card set, you will need to group your team and make sure that it’s balanced enough, e.g. having both attacking and support units. Another nice perk is that you will be able to choose a card pack that consists strictly of soldiers from this or that country. This is a multiplayer game that features a level up system.
Rivals at War is an interesting strategic military simulator game for Android that brings something new to the genre. And though it’s distributed for free, we think that the game would have been better if the battle system wasn’t automatic.
