Review Real Boxing 2 ROCKY

Fantastic graphics, fun controls, addictive gameplay
Some performance issues, tutorial is a bit lengthy
Real Boxing 2 CREED for Android is a boxing game that is inspired by the movie Creed, which is a movie I’ve never actually seen. But that means two things: Rocky Balboa is in it and there are no licensed boxers in it. You’ll create a custom boxer of your own who trains under the legendary Rocky Balboa so you can rise up to become the champ.
Like most boxing games for mobile, I actually had a lot of fun with this one - after I managed to get through some crashes. The first time I booted it up, the game seemed to be running around 15 fps, which meant my character was skipping around a lot. I managed to make it through the first fight before the game crashed on me. When I rebooted it, the game ran smooth as butter and I never had any more issues.
The character creation is pretty in-depth. You can choose ethnicity, skin color, body composition, change your hair, and mess with a ton of sliders to shape the way your face looks. When you’re done you’ll be shown the ropes around your career mode. Career mode mostly consists of fighting and building up your character as he goes down the road of success.
Fighting is easily the most enjoyable aspect of the game, though. The controls are done really well and are all gesture based. Tapping, swiping or sliding on either side of the screen will let you perform various punches in relation to which side of the screen you attack. Slide from the right to the left and you’ll do a right up. Swipe up on the left side and you’ll do a left uppercut.
Character progression is pretty fun as well. There are several mini games you can play to boost your stats, though they aren’t what I would call fun on their own. And you also get new gear that provide your character with substantial stat boosts.
Real Boxing 2 CREED is pretty much what it is at face value. The combat can usually be brute forced, but there is a complexity to it when you have to balance your offense and defense around the stamina bar. If you’re a boxing fan, this is ia definite pick up, and even if you’re not, it’s still worth checking out.
